π₯ Watched Train to Busan (2016)
This is a top 5 zombie flick. It might be a top 3. What an excellent time.

Finished season one of the Politician on Netflix. Such great characters. It’s like a prequel to House of Cards. Looking forward to season 2. πΊ

Watched Pride and Prejudice (2005)
Also fun! Time to read some Jane Austen. π₯
-
Watched Sense and Sensibility (1995)
A lot more fun this time around. Not entirely sure 16 year old me was the right audience. ππ₯

Watched Next (2007)
It’s really not a great movie, but the last 20 or so minutes where it gets to be an action flick ends up being a lot of fun. π€·π»ββοΈπ₯

Here’s another test with another picture to see how Gluon works for posting photos on Android.

Any new anything starts with a bunch of test posts to figure out how to use it.
This is posted via the web on Android. The preview doesn’t show thenimage, will the final post?

Trying out Micro.blog https://jeremyfelt.com/2020/01/03/trying-out-micro-blog/

This is my first post. Hi.
-
It’s the final countdown!
I really enjoy the general experience of Instagram. I really don’t enjoy that Facebook owns the platform and all of the things that come with that.
I really enjoy the open web. I’m much happier when figuring out solutions to things using the open web than I am when using closed platforms that thrive on the sale of information about my friends and family.
So I’m moving on. I’ll be deleting this account by the end of the week. I’m going to archive all of my photos on my personal site, jeremyfelt.com, and I’m going to try out Pixelfed as an alternative to Instagram. If that doesn’t work, I’ll find another.
Thanks for sharing all your photos with me and liking (or not) all of mine. Its been a fun many years.
There’s a link in my bio for more information. It has to go there because Instagram doesn’t like the open web. Feel free to DM me if you want more info or want to keep in touch another way.
See y’all around ππ» #onelastfilter

After reading Richard Powers’s The Overstory, I’ve made more of an effort to appreciate and learn about trees. The rowan has been one that became quickly identifiable in Sweden. The Museum of Natural History in Stockholm included it as part of a tree identification puzzle that we played and our hike today in the Dalarna region was surrounded by them. I took a peek at the Wikipedia page later and loved seeing the many ways it has appeared in the folklore of various cultures. I love the idea of the traveler’s tree that prevents people from getting lost or the portal tree that acts as a threshold between this world and another. π³

Going all in with extra baked crispbread, Kalles (creamed cod roe), and BaconOst (creamy cream cheese made with selected classic cheese and Swedish bacon). The flavor of the Kalles is STRONG π³ but the kid on the bottle looks super happy about it
